
Cases Where Foreigners Are Not Permitted to Enter Vietnam
- Regulations on Passports or International Travel Documents and Visas, foreigners entering under the unilateral visa exemption policy must have a passport valid for at least 06 months and the time of entry must be at least 30 days after the previous exit from Vietnam.
- Children under 14 years of age who are not accompanied by their father, mother, guardian, or an authorized escort.
- Forging documents or making false declarations to be granted entry, exit, or residence documents.
- Persons suffering from mental illness or infectious diseases that pose a danger to public health.
- Persons who have been expelled from Vietnam for less than 03 years from the effective date of the expulsion decision.
- Persons who have been compelled to leave Vietnam for less than 06 months from the effective date of the deportation decision.
- For reasons of epidemic prevention and control.
- For reasons of natural disasters.
- For reasons of national defense, security, public order, and social safety.
Competent authorities to decide on denial of entry: The head of the immigration control unit; the Minister of Health; the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Minister of Public Security; or the Minister of National Defense, depending on the specific case.
