Documents and Procedures for Obtaining the Certificate of Eligibility for Food Safety Conditions
Application dossier
The application for the Certificate of Eligibility for Food Safety Conditions includes:
a) Application form requesting issuance of the Certificate of Eligibility for Food Safety Conditions;
b) A copy of the Business Registration Certificate;
c) A written explanation of the facilities, equipment, and tools ensuring food safety and hygiene in accordance with the regulations of the competent state management authority;
d) Health certificates of the owner and personnel directly involved in food production or business, issued by a district-level or higher medical establishment;
e) Certificates of completion of training in food hygiene and safety knowledge for the owner and personnel directly involved in food production or business, as prescribed by the Minister of the relevant management sector.
Procedures for issuance
a) Organizations or individuals engaged in food production or business shall submit the application dossier to the competent state authority;
b) Within 15 days from the date of receiving a complete and valid dossier, the competent state authority shall inspect the actual conditions ensuring food safety at the production or business facility. If the conditions are met, the authority shall issue the Certificate of Eligibility for Food Safety Conditions; in case of refusal, the authority must provide a written response stating the reasons.
Validity Period of the Certificate
The Certificate of Eligibility for Food Safety Conditions is valid for three (03) years.
Six (06) months before the expiration date, organizations or individuals engaged in food production or business must submit an application for re-issuance if they intend to continue production or business activities.
