05 Honor Oaths of the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam

Below are the five honor oaths of the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam, which are recited during oath-taking ceremonies:

(1) To remain absolutely loyal to the Fatherland and the people of Vietnam, to the Communist Party of Vietnam, and to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; to strive and sacrifice one’s whole life for national independence, freedom, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and for the security of the Fatherland.

(2) To strictly comply with the Party’s guidelines and policies, the laws of the State, and the resolutions, directives, and Regulations of the People’s Public Security Forces; to be ready to go anywhere and perform any task when required by the Fatherland, the Party, and the people.

(3) To show respect and courtesy to the people; to be ready to protect the lives, property, lawful rights, and interests of the people; to devote one’s entire life to serving the people, for their peaceful and happy life.

(4) To maintain vigilance, and to be steadfast, intelligent, and courageous in the fight against hostile forces, all types of crime, and all violations of the law.

(5) To make every effort to study and strictly follow President Ho Chi Minh’s Six Teachings to the People’s Public Security Forces, and to always be worthy of the honor and traditions of the People’s Public Security Forces of Vietnam.
