Prohibited Acts under the Law on Citizen Identification

  1. Obstructing the implementation of the provisions of this Law.

  2. Issuing, reissuing, or renewing a Citizen Identification Card (CIC) in violation of the law.

  3. Harassing or causing inconvenience in the handling of procedures related to the Citizen Identification Card, the National Database on Population, and the Citizen Identification Card Database.

  4. Falsifying records or dossiers regarding citizens, the National Database on Population, and the Citizen Identification Card Database; failing to provide, providing incomplete, or providing information or documents contrary to the law regarding the CIC, the National Database on Population, or the Citizen Identification Card Database; abusing citizen information under this Law causing damage to agencies, organizations, or individuals.

  5. Disclosing confidential information belonging to the National Database on Population and the Citizen Identification Card Database.

  6. Collecting or using fees in violation of the provisions of the law.

  7. Forging, altering, or falsifying the contents of a Citizen Identification Card; appropriating or using another person’s CIC illegally; renting, lending, borrowing, pledging, receiving a pledge, destroying a CIC; using a counterfeit CIC.

  8. Unauthorized access to, altering, deleting, destroying, or disseminating information in the National Database on Population or the Citizen Identification Card Database.

  9. Unlawfully recalling or temporarily retaining a Citizen Identification Card.
