Promise of Reward

  1. A person who has publicly promised a reward must pay the reward to whoever performs the work as required by the person making the promise.

  2. The work promised for reward must be specific, feasible, and not contrary to legal prohibitions or social ethics.

Withdrawal of a Promise of Reward

Before the time for commencing performance of the work, the promisor has the right to withdraw the promise of reward.
Such withdrawal must be made in the same manner and through the same means by which the promise of reward was originally made public.

Payment of Reward

  1. Where the promised work is performed by one person, that person shall be entitled to the reward upon completion of the work.

  2. Where the promised work is performed by multiple persons independently, the reward shall belong to the person who completes the work first.

  3. Where several persons complete the work at the same time, the reward shall be equally divided among them.

  4. Where several persons collaborate to perform the work as required by the promisor, each person shall be entitled to a portion of the reward corresponding to their contribution.
